Re: Packet loss & high latency /w Intel puma 6 cable modem.
Several websites recommend to totally avoid your chipset. Of course it can help to take load off a buggy chipset. Less tunnels mean less traffic and less connections. Especially for TCP connections any router device has a limit for the total number of concurrent connections from your local network t...

Getting i2pd to perform behind DS-Lite - sort of
Running i2pd (and Java I2P) behind DS-Lite gives you NTCP2v6 and SSUv6 with corresponding addresses published. IPv4 remains in status "Testing" forever. You get a few dozen transit tunnels with total traffic below 1kBps average. Your local traffic sticks out by a factor of 100-1000. This i...

Re: Good solution for subscribing to multiple i2p RSS feeds?
If you are on Linux, tinyproxy is your solution. Just direct all ".i2p" to your i2p instance. You can even set that as your system-wide proxy. This way you can mix websites and feeds from i2p and clearnet in all of your favourite apps. Easy to add TOR as well.

Do not download sequentially
Currently seeding a torrent that all leechers download sequentially. This results in the same pieces handed out multiple times and slows down all leechers by a factor of three, comparing the progress they make to what is actually sent in total. Only use sequential download, if needed for viewing sta...

Re: New speed record
I think there is nothing wrong with torrenting over i2p. Only few of my 4000 tunnels occupy substantial bandwidth. And those interested in torrenting contribute to the network by running 24/7 on sufficient bandwidth. If someone sits there with WireShark directly on my line and knows the code he migh...

New speed record
I am running BiglyBT on top of my I2Speed server with the multiple connection feature enabled seeding some multi-GB torrents. I have a leecher out there also using BiglyBT with the multiple connection feature. This single peer runs 8 parallel connections to my server and maintains >150 KBps long ter...

Re: Careful with i2pspeed
They offer an update on their site, if you do not want that.
Any i2p mod or special configuration can be discovered with some effort. For I2Speed a network sniffer would show lots of fast UDP connections that do not exist for other routers. I do not care.
